# Customer custom fields

In the **Automation ->** [**Customer custom fields**](https://app.jedidesk.com/customer-custom-fields) tab, click <mark style="background-color:green;">**+ Add field**</mark>, fill in the required fields and click the <mark style="background-color:blue;">**Save changes**</mark> button:&#x20;

1. **Name** - eg customer ID, shipping address o whatever you need.&#x20;
2. **Type** - choose input format: integer, string, phone number or email.&#x20;
3. **Sort** - the serial number of an additional field in the client's card.

Now when opening customer cards, you will see a new input field:
