To configure AI, open the [**JediDesk AI**](https://app.jedidesk.com/settings-ai) tab:

#### 1. JediDesk AI settings:

**JediDesk AI funds balance** - the number of free requests that JediDesk AI can handle. The balance can be topped up.

**JediDesk AI Statistics** – You can select a specific period by clicking on the calendar.

**Settings** – Enable/Disable JediDesk AI.

#### 2. Basic setting of JediDesk AI:

Selection of an assistant - choose one of the ready-made models of behavior that suits your business:

<figure><img src="/files/tAgeVRDB7OcjUTPDqFjO" alt=""><figcaption><p>Ready models of behavior for the AI assistant</p></figcaption></figure>

* **Lexi** is an assistant for online stores&#x20;
* **Nova** is an assistant for agencies&#x20;
* **Bella** - assistant for the beauty industry (beauty salons)&#x20;
* **Luna** is an assistant for bloggers&#x20;
* **Max** is a sales assistant&#x20;
* **Zara** is an assistant for customer support

{% hint style="info" %}
JediDesk AI recognizes both text (messages) and voice messages, photos and videos upon application.
{% endhint %}

When you choose one of the models, you will automatically have a ready prompt (instruction) in the **Business card settings - Instruction** block.

Be sure to adjust the name of your AI assistant and the file names it will refer to when processing information in the **Knowledge Base** block.

{% hint style="info" %}
You can edit this instruction as you wish, or instead of a ready-made model, you can write your own behavior model from scratch or generate a prompt in [ChatGPT Promt Engineering](https://chatgpt.com/g/g-bNiLAvz8R-prompt-engineering), describing the key points of the behavior of your AI assistant How it should be greeted, what stages of consultation and sales to go through, what to clarify with the customer, etc.).

If you are configuring JediDesk AI via Version 2 with files, then be sure to specify in Instruction that the AI should take information from uploaded files.

For example: "*...you take delivery data from the file Delivery.json, you take data about products from the file Products.json*".
{% endhint %}

<figure><img src="/files/2Mn74uM6WazbTJ97Y0fX" alt=""><figcaption><p>Promt (instruction) settings for JediDesk AI</p></figcaption></figure>

**Languages of your bot** - Select the languages in which JediDesk AI will respond.

**Temperature** - the randomness/creativity parameter of the AI assistant's response.

**Request limit per dialogue** – You can set a message limit so that JediDesk AI does not use up the balance for each message from the user.

**Request limit per week** – You can set a request limit so that JediDesk AI does not use up the balance for every request from a new user.

**Working hours** – If you have configured working days and hours in **Settings ->** [**Company**](https://app.jedidesk.com/settings-company), you can adapt JediDesk AI to these times.

{% hint style="danger" %} <mark style="color:red;">**WARNING!**</mark> Do not turn on the settings **Automatically enable in** [**non-working hours**](https://app.jedidesk.com/settings-company) and **Automatically disable in** [**working hours**](https://app.jedidesk.com/settings-company) at the same time - otherwise the AI assistant will not work!

**Enable only one of the settings.**
{% endhint %}

***

**Knowledge Base** - Specify the information that JediDesk AI will work with:

<figure><img src="/files/CEvytMGcRNStl8aY928U" alt=""><figcaption><p>Q&#x26;A for JediDesk AI</p></figcaption></figure>

***

Click **Version 2** if, instead of a question-answer block, you have a ready-made described script and information about your product.

It is important that the files contain as clear as possible, not overloaded information (For example, such columns as: Article, Product name, Size, Brief description, Price, URL link). Each file must weigh up to 10MB:

**Stop words** – specify stop words that will stop JediDesk AI or notify the manager about the client's request for further processing of the request.

**Closed AI Assistant -** By default, all users in the Jedidesk system can interact with the chatbot. However, there may be cases where you need to restrict access and allow only specific users to interact with the bot.<br>

<figure><img src="/files/8Wsl7oNuskv3bYPePQom" alt=""><figcaption><p><strong>"Closed AI Assistant" Feature in JediDesk AI</strong></p></figcaption></figure>

To address this, our service offers the "Closed AI Assistant" feature.\
When activated, the chatbot will stop responding to all users except those who have been granted access. To grant a specific user the ability to receive responses from the bot, follow these steps:

1. Go to the **"Users"** tab.
2. Find the desired user and click the **"Edit"** pencil icon next to their name.
3. Change the **"AI Assistant Access"** parameter to **"Active"**.

<figure><img src="/files/BV4EViESOSleCF32bpZZ" alt=""><figcaption><p><strong>Grant AI Access to a Client</strong></p></figcaption></figure>

**Clearing AI Chat History-** When interacting with a chatbot, it remembers your conversation and considers previous questions in its responses. This is convenient, but after the bot is updated (e.g., changes in prompts, addition of new files to the database, or adjustments to parameters like response "temperature"), this function may become an issue. The bot may continue relying on old responses, ignoring the latest changes.

To avoid manually deleting conversation history for each user, there is a **"Delete AI Chat History"** button. It completely erases past conversations, allowing the bot to work with up-to-date data.

<figure><img src="/files/D6u6yn2DhLCLKxJe6Wbj" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

You can also automate this process with the **"Clear AI Chat History After Closing the Conversation"** function. If enabled, the history of each completed dialogue will be automatically deleted, ensuring that responses remain relevant in future conversations.

#### 3. An example of JediDesk AI working in LiveChat:

Chats and messages that have involved JediDesk AI will have a special label.

In this example, we see how JediDesk AI responds based on the information provided in the settings:
