# Connecting Instagram Business to #jedidesk

{% hint style="danger" %} <mark style="color:red;">**Note**</mark>: To integrate Instagram with the #jedidesk service, access to Facebook Manager with account owner level is required. In addition, the Instagram account must be verified with Facebook Manager.

#### **1. Setting the type of Instagram account and creating a Facebook business page**

Before setting up the integration, make sure your Instagram account is set to **Professional** status.

Go to **Settings -> Account type and tools -> Switch to professional account ->&#x20;**<mark style="color:blue;">**Continue**</mark>:

Specify the required category and whether you want to display it in the profile -> choose the type "**Author**" or "**Business**" **-> Next**:

Check the contact information and its display in the profile, click <mark style="background-color:blue;">**Next**</mark>:

The next steps depend on whether you already have a Facebook business page.

**1. If you have a page, click:**

**Log in to Facebook -> Log in** to the page where the business page was created **-> Select the business page -> Connect**:

**2. If you do not have a page** and want to create it from the desktop version, click <mark style="color:blue;">**Skip**</mark>.

**3. If you do not have a page** and want to create it from the mobile version, click:

**Create a Facebook page ->** Give a name and choose a category **-> Create**:

Enable access to messages in **Settings -> Messages and replies to stories -> Manage messages:**

* **Allow access to messages**
* **Your followers on Instargam -** set Message request
* **Others on Instagram -** set Message request

#### **2.** Synchronization of Instagram with Facebook Manager through a browser

If you created a business page separately and want to connect it to Instagram through the desktop version, log in to Facebook and go to the page you want to connect to your Instagram account.

Go to [**Pages**](https://www.facebook.com/pages) and click **+ Create Page** and go through all the typical setup steps.

On the created page, click **Manage**:

Select the section[ **Connected accounts**](https://www.facebook.com/settings/?tab=linked_instagram) and connect the page with Instagram:

Turn on the permission to receive messages by clicking <mark style="color:blue;">**Confirm**</mark>:

Connect your Instagram page to Facebook:

Refresh the [**Connected Accounts**](https://www.facebook.com/settings/?tab=linked_instagram) page and click <mark style="background-color:blue;">**Confirm Connection**</mark> if Facebook requires additional verification.

#### 3. Instagram integration with #jedidesk&#x20;

On the #jedidesk service, open the tab **Settings ->** [**Integrations**](https://app.jedidesk.com/integrations) **-> Integration with Instagram ->** Click the <mark style="background-color:blue;">**Connect**</mark> button:

Make sure all permissions for the #jedidesk app are enabled and click <mark style="background-color:blue;">**Finish**</mark>:

Done! Now all messages and comments from the connected Instagram account will go to #jedidesk.
